A Tide of Hope Rising is an expressive intuitive coastal abstract inspired by the changing nature of our seas and the rising temperatures of our oceans. Layers of colour and sweeping movement suggest the power and constant motion of the tide, while the vibrant orange sun becomes a symbol of warmth, resilience and hope. A celebration of the beauty of our coastline and a belief in our ability to protect it. Teignmouth Artist Amanda Lyon-Smith cares deeply about climate change and the challenges facing our oceans, yet this painting is ultimately optimistic.
